The National Center for the Preservation of Democracy is a non-profit, non-partisan educational institution dedicated to instilling democratic ideals and principles within our diverse American society. The National Center explores the largely untold stories of diverse individuals and communities that have contributed to and strengthened American democracy.

Your contributions will support the National Center's innovative educational programs designed for teachers, community-based mentors and middle and high school students, providing them with tools needed to become active participants in our democratic society whether through voting, community volunteerism, or public service.

We will work closely with you to create meaningful expressions of your contribution. Thank you for your interest.

We welcome you to become a “Charter” Friend of the National Center for the Preservation of Democracy. During the National Center’s Opening Year*, become a Friend of Democracy at the $100+ level and receive a special National Center gift!

Your Friend of Democracy annual gift supports the educational programs of the National Center including:

$100 -- provides the Fighting for Democracy Educator's Resource Guide to four educators
$250 -- purchases one National Center Educators' Tool Kit
$500 -- supports one bus and facilitation of a class visit
$1,000 -- allows two educators to participate in a one-day professional development workshop
$2,500 -- enables two students to attend the 6-week Democracy in Action course
