The National Center is open to the general public every Saturday from 11:00 AM – 2:00 PM with the following schedule of activities:
11:30 AM
Film Screening of Dilemmas + Decisions*
A media project created by youth from across the country.
12:30 PM
Facilitated Tour of the Exhibition Fighting For Democracy*
A dynamic presentation of World War II from the perspective of seven diverse individuals and their communities.
*Arrival at least 10 minutes prior to the screening or tour is recommended.
GROUP TOUR RESERVATIONS
The National Center offers group tours for schools, educators, youth groups, and organizations by appointment only during the following hours:
Tuesday-Friday:
10 AM - 12 PM (educators & youth groups only)
1 PM - 4 PM (general public)
Closed on major holidays.
To request an appointment, use the online registration form, call 213.830.1880, or e-mail info@ncdemocracy.org. All tour requests must be made at least one week in advance. Appointments will be confirmed by phone or e-mail.
Access The National Center is committed to providing full and equal access to its facilities for all visitors. The National Center is fully accessible to wheelchairs. Only trained guide and service animals are permitted at the Center. A sign-language interpreter is available for groups of five or more on request; one week advance notice is required.
For security reasons, all purses, bags, parcels, or other personal items larger than 12 x 12 x 12 inches must be checked at the information desk. Contents of all bags and parcels may be inspected for security reasons.
