Dilemmas + Decisions explores real-life dilemmas of freedom and democracy as experienced and conceived by youth media groups across the U.S., based on issues affecting their communities.
Four high school-aged youth groups were selected to reflect the rich diversity in geography, ethnicity, and points of view in the United States. As seen through the eyes of young people, Dilemmas + Decisions captures the process of youth exploring issues of concern to them, and exercising their first amendment right to freedom of expression.
The resulting video production screens throughout the day in the Democracy Forum to provide an engaging orientation to the National Center and promote discussion and debate. It challenges and stimulates viewers to think critically, understand that important issues are complex, and realize that each of us, as individuals and with each other, has the power and responsibility to shape a just world. |
