The National Center for the Preservation of Democracy provides educators with tools to prepare their students to live in a democracy that is a work in progress.

Our Educational Framework and resources complement and reframe familiar social studies curricula, using interdisciplinary methods to explore historic and contemporary connections between democracy and diversity.  We also help educators document and analyze the challenges that arise when they employ teaching practices that are, themselves, democratic. The principles of democracy are thus reflected in both content and pedagogy.
